If you’re like us, you find much of Alicia Keys’ catalog boring. But here’s one incentive to attend her show this week: slow-jam opener Miguel. Like Frank Ocean and Solange Knowles, Miguel paints his R&B using a palette full of genres and compositions as seductive as his sonorous tenor. Radio should prioritze a man of craft and depth like Miguel over his more confectionary chart peers. Friday, March 15, 8 p.m.; Mandalay Bay Events Center, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South, www.ticketmaster.com, $50-$130.
