If wishes were horses, beggars would ride. And beer drinkers would have a fancy new micro-brewpub in Henderson.
That, anyway, is the thought behind CraftHaus Brewery’s would-be founders, Wyndee and Dave Forrest, who are using the Kickstarter platform to raise $20,000 to cover a “pilot brewing system” and licensing.
The UNLV grads say the taproom won’t be a restaurant and won’t offer any kind of gaming. “We want to focus on the beer, not offer distractions from it,” Wyndee said.
The proposal now includes four flavors of brew: two pale ales; a saison brewed with ginger, coriander and orange peel; and a stout.
Investors, 66 so far, have at press time contributed more than a third of the total needed to get the project foaming. All contributors will receive various forms of recognition for their early support of the CraftHaus Brewery.
“Our project is to build a brewery that produces exceptional local craft beer for novice and experienced beer enthusiasts,” the pair said in a news release. “It will serve as a gathering place to build relationships within our community while fostering an appreciation for a locally created, amazing art form: beer.”
