Spank! The Fifty Shades Parody

It probably goes without saying that author E.L. James and her publisher are not in any way affiliated with this production, the latest entry in the can-anything-be-turned-into-a-musical-parody? trend. Still, the Fifty Shades of Grey series — simultaneously a monster hit and widely ridiculed for its bad prose and laughable S&M storyline — seems perfectly ripe for this kind of treatment. The producers, who have worked on Kids in the Hall, Mythbusters Live! and various reality shows, promise sharp satire, catchy numbers and some Chippendales-style action, among other risque enticements. Deep down, you know you want it. (As long as you’re 18 or older, of course.) 10 p.m.; Crown Theatre at Rio All-Suites Hotel, 3700 W. Flamingo Road, www.riolv.com, $39-$49.

This version updates an earlier one, as the dates of the run have been changed.
