You’ve heard of Jesus. A lot, no doubt — he gets evoked often these days. But what do you really know about him? Whatever it is, it’s likely to be challenged, enlarged or adjusted by writer Reza Aslan, whose new book, Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth, culminates 20 years of studying the biblical and historical Jesus with a portrait of him as, among other things, “a radical political revolutionary invested in the nationalist struggle for freedom from Roman occupation.” (So say the library PR.)
