[STAGE] Dec. 7-23
In The Cure’s hit track “Love Song,” Robert Smith famously sings, “Whenever I’m alone with you, you make me feel like I am home again.” In John Kolvenbach’s play Love Song, his hapless, awkward main character, Beane, finds himself alone with Molly, the woman burglarizing his home. And just like Smith in his song, Beane realizes he’s in love. Therein lies the metaphor: Romance can be had if one just lets their guard down. Thursday-Saturday, 8 p.m., Sunday, 2 p.m., Dec. 7-23; Cockroach Theatre, 1025 S. First St., #110, www.cockroachtheatre.com, $15-$18.
