[FESTIVAL] SATURDAY, APRIL 13
From the brilliant white sands of tropical Bahia to the cowboy churrascarias of Curitiba, the dense rainforest of Amazonia to the chic discos of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is more than a country — it is a continent of music, adventure, youth and excitement. Also, it has a lot of really, really hot models. Vegas tips its hat to all things Brasileira with “the largest Brazilian festival in Nevada,” featuring music from Ninha, Ney Rios and Batukaxe Band, Sol e Mar and Grupo Brasilidade. Expect permutations of funk, jazz, African percussion, and, of course, samba and bossa nova. Potent potables and Brazilian food will be on hand, with activities for kids. 1-9 p.m.; Clark County Government Center Amphitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway, www.vegaslovesbrazil.com; $5, free for children under 12.
