Frank Rich and Fran Lebowitz
With a particularly uninspiring debate still flavoring the backs of our throats, we’ll understand if you aren’t interested in watching two people at podiums talking ad nauseam. But lucky for all of us, New York magazine essayist Frank Rich and political satirist Fran Lebowitz don’t want your vote, or to make you puke. They want to talk about political and social life as we know it — both humorously and otherwise — as the first installment of the Smith Center’s “Speaker Series,” and to sink some more capital-“C” culture into the downtown dynamic.
7:30 p.m.; The Smith Center, 361 Symphony Park Ave., 749-2000, $29-$89
