[ART] Through Sept. 15
It seemed like a good idea at the time
Isolation. Detachment. Obsolete. Unattainable. Impermancence. Those are just some of the words you’d see if Andreana Donahue’s exhibit had a tag cloud. What you will see is an installation based on the control rooms of sci-fi spacecraft. Using that rich pop-cultural iconography, Donahue attempts to beam up insights into “the relationships between reality, experience and fiction,” not to mention “romantic notions of self-imposed isolation as a means of … attaining a more satisfactory existence.”So, boldly go. But you might arrange an appointment first — hours tend to be sporadic. Kleven Contemporary, in Emergency Arts, 520 E. Fremont, 501-9093.
