If Lucero was out when we first developed our opinions about country music, we might not have been so immediately dismissive of the genre as a whole. But that’s because Lucero leans hard into punk and alt-rock territory, embracing the broken-hearted parts of country but not the dumbass 10-gallon twang of the bands rubbing their crotches all over it right now. Best part: With Women & Work coming out on ATO records, and Lucero getting attention from music geeks at Rolling Stone and The New Yorker, we’re predicting more of this rough-and-tumble hybridizing to hit us in the collective face sooner than later. And that rules. 9 p.m.; The Beauty Bar, 517 Fremont St., 598-1965, $26
