Leader of the Pack

Before there was Jersey Boys or Million Dollar Quartet or any of the other “jukebox” musicals dominating the American theatrical landscape, there was 1984’s Leader of the Pack, celebrating the life and work of 1960s pop songwriter Elle Greenwich. She (along with husband Jeff Barry) penned chestnuts like “Be My Baby,” “Do Wah Diddy Diddy” and, of course, the titular song of this acclaimed production. You’ll go for the hits and nostalgia. We’re going to see if producer Phil Spector pulled a gun on her, too. 7 p.m., Thursday-Saturday; Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, 895-2787, $12-$20
