[Stage] Through Oct. 7

Should we trust the Brits to bring us a Batman stage show? Well, it’s not like the Americans have proved themselves at live comic book fantasy (ahem, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark), and Dark Knight trilogy filmmaker Christopher Nolan hails from ol’ Blighty, so we’re giving this arena-sized extravaganza a shot. The original storyline centers on Robin, but you-know-who must come to his rescue when the whole horde of Batman villains, led by The Joker, causes a ruckus. Huge video screens, massive sets, loads of pyro, acrobatics, stage stunts and, of course, the Batmobile all figure into the Caped Crusader’s theatrical debut. Oct. 4-5, 7:30 p.m., Oct. 6, 12 p.m., 4 p.m., 8 p.m., Oct. 7, 1 p.m., 5 p.m.; Thomas & Mack Center, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway,, $19-$79.50
