Aesop Rock

You could hear the cheers all the way from the Rhymesayers office when Aesop Rock linked up with the indie rap powerhouse to release his latest solo record, Skelethon. The only thing that could possibly make his presence at this weekend’s Hip-Hop Roots better is if he brought Grimace Federation, the band he used on a chunk of the album. But, all things considered, we’re more than happy to make do. With Darktime Sunshine, Open Mic Eagle, Ekoh, 9 p.m.; LVCS, 425 Fremont St., 382-3531, $18
