A slate of midnight club shows complementing Punk Rock Bowling's prime-time festival has been announced for May 24-27, to be staged in downtown Las Vegas.
The 15 shows embody the spirit, if not the letter of punk. Headliners include rockabilly icon Wanda Jackson, Reno legends 7 Seconds (with TSOL), NYC hardcore stalwarts Agnostic Front, garage-flavored cover band The Detroit Cobras (with Vegas act The Tinglerz), Chicago brainiacs The Lawrence Arms, Latino rawkers Manic Hispanic, metal-punkers Strung Out (with Guttermouth) and all-star cover group Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, among others.
Tickets for each gig are $15 and go on sale Friday, March 22 at 1 p.m.
Passes remain for the central three-day festival -- featuring Devo, Bad Religion, the Henry Rollins-less incarnation of Black Flag, The Damned, Turbonegro, our own Dirty Panties and more -- taking place Saturday-Monday, May 25-27, for $40 a day or $105 for the whole shebang.
