We mean this as a compliment: We're no longer surprised when Imagine Dragons hits a crazy "you've made it now, son" landmark. This time, it's something they share with The Killers, Ne-Yo and Panic! At the Disco: They're another Vegas-born act to have a platinum hit. According to their rep at Interscope, the quartet's single "It's Time" (which has been spun anywhere from the Perks of Being a Wallflower trailer to your local LVAC), went platinum on Nov. 27, for which they received their first plaques Dec. 10. "This is something we'll always remember," says frontman Dan Reynolds. "To share our music with so many people is amazing. We feel humbled and grateful."
Imagine Dragons just announced a U.S. tour that includes their first headlining show at The Joint on Feb. 9, with Atlas Genius (who opened for Silversun Pickups' Joint show a couple months back) and Nico Vega opening. Tickets ($25) go on sale Friday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m.
