Another Vegas institution may get its own TV show. Right after punk mainstay The Vermin announced an upcoming pilot for an undisclosed cable network, and our own dining writer Al Mancini revealed his own Travel Channel series, Cowtown Guitars joins the fray of Sin City rocker-types hitting the airwaves.
The premise: A TV crew follows the shopkeepers (including a return from Cowtown founder Mark Chatfield) through their various dealings, including the latest: hocking a collection of 150 celebrity-owned guitars, including Jimi Hendrix’s 1963 Olympic White Stratocaster, according to a source close to the store (a production company gag order prohibits some of the juicier disclosures).
The show is still being shopped -- no networks have been announced as picking it up -- so the actual airdate is still out of range. But it sounds like more familiar faces will be gracing your cable TV package.
